Types of Lawyers


As in other common law jurisdictions the legal profession is divided into two branches, solicitors and barristers, with the judiciary being appointed from practising members of the profession.

  1. SOLICITORS
  2. BARRISTERS


NOTARIES PUBLIC: authenticate important documents especially for use abroad. Applicants must be qualified solicitors and are appointed by the Chief Justice.
